Philanthropy
The Nu Chapter takes great pride in giving back to meaningful causes. Each year, we raise funds for KA’s national philanthropy, The Independence Fund, which empowers severely wounded veterans and their families by providing mobility devices like all-terrain Track Chairs, caregiver support, adaptive sports opportunities, and advocacy. Through Operation K.A.R.E., Kappa Alpha Order partners with the Fund to give veterans the independence and quality of life they deserve. Our chapter hosts events and campaigns to support this mission, honoring those who have sacrificed for our freedom and making a visible impact in the lives of veterans nationwide.
In addition, we host the annual Walking on Air 5K, benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Launched in 2024, this event helps raise awareness and funds to support the Foundation’s mission of curing cystic fibrosis and providing high-quality care for those affected. Thanks to innovative research and drug development, cystic fibrosis has been transformed from a fatal childhood illness into a manageable condition for many — and we are proud to play a part in advancing treatments and bringing hope to patients and families.
